About this event
Pride House Glasgow returns in 2026 as the official LGBTIQ+ hub of the Commonwealth Games, a vibrant, visible and vital space at the heart of the city. We will be operating between the 22nd of July and the 3rd of August 2026.
At its core, Pride House is a free, welcoming drop-in venue where LGBTIQ+ people, athletes, visitors and allies can:
• Watch and engage with the Games together
• Feel safe, seen and celebrated
• Connect with community, culture and sport

• Has or is looking to gain experience in the hospitality or service industries
Back of House
Our Back of House team will be the powerhouse that keeps our operations rolling over the Pride House period. These roles will suit individuals who would prefer to put their heads down and get on with tasks such as:

• Helping to move materials between events
• Helping out with administrative tasks such as data entry

This role would suit someone who:
• Is flexible and willing to turn their hand to a variety of tasks
• Might have or be looking for experience in administration
• Wants to experience a broad range of the Pride House experience
Specialists
As well as our general support team, we’ll also be recruiting for some specialists to help our work shine in particular areas. We’ve listed a few areas below, however if you have a skill you think could help us please reach out to [email protected] and we can have a conversation about how to fit you in! We’re looking for individuals who have strong demonstrable experience in these areas, whether that’s in a professional capacity or through other volunteer work.
Portfolios may be helpful but not necessary.
• Photography: availability at specified events to capture activity, as well as candid shots of visitors and other volunteers enjoying the space. We’re particularly keen to speak to individuals with an interest in event photography.
• Social media: drafting compelling social media content for our Instagram page, including engagement with supporters and partner organisations to maximise visibility and increase traffic at the event. This role would suit someone who has experience of using social media platforms to increase event attendance.
• Communications: drafting proactive and reactive communications for release to the media. This person must have experience of press engagement, as well as a comprehensive understanding of issues surrounding sport, the Commonwealth Games and the LGBTIQ+ community.
• Welfare support team: liaising with delegations from participating nations; providing information on Pride House to visiting athletes and support teams. This role would suit individuals with a stakeholder engagement background.
This is a project of Pride House International in conjunction with LEAP Sports, and funded by Impact Funding Partners
