We are a small group of local volunteers who have formed to look after and open Preston Tower and Doocot, the medieval tower house in the heart of Prestonpans.
Owned by the National Trust for Scotland and managed by East Lothian Council, the Tower was recently restored with a £1m grant from the Scottish Government. With no budget for staff to open the building to the public, we formed in 2024 to ensure this historic treasure could be open again, following decades of almost total closure.
