Scotland's Gardens Scheme, District Treasurer Opportunities

We are seeking volunteer District Treasurers to join our Ayrshire, Caithness & Sutherland and Berwickshire & Roxburghshire Teams. The Treasurer is responsible for the collection of funds raised at garden openings and making sure that funds are paid to our charities and to Head Office. Treasurers enter information about openings into our database so must be numerate and comfortable with technology. You will also get to visit a wonderful range of gardens and meet the lovely people who are kind enough to open their gardens, as well as being part of a team of local volunteers. May be carried out from home, although you are encouraged to visit gardens along with other volunteers

Training details

We can give online support via zoom to introduce you to our database; we provide online GDPR training and are always available to answer questions over the phone or email

Happy to meet via phone or in person to talk through the role

Restrictions

Minimum age: 18

Frequency & commitment
Mainly active from May to November but sporadic depending on the garden openings in the district

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
