Interested in getting involved in a vibrant community-led sports project? Albury Community Sports Hub is a community facility in the centre of Aberdeen which is a working partnership with residents in the community and Sport Aberdeen, run by volunteers.
We have great opportunities for people to help volunteering to cover shifts at the hub. Shifts are split into two hour blocks, with volunteers working in pairs.
General duties can include putting out equipment, taking bookings, operating the till, and potentially opening or closing the centre (depending on the shift signed up for).
Although Albury is a sports hub, no sports experience is required although volunteering at the Centre can earn membership discounts!
The Albury Community Sports Hub is a registered charity, and usage of the centre has increased year on year, due to the dedication and commitment of the volunteers involved. The Hub would not be able to open and be so successful without the continued support of volunteers, and new volunteers are always very welcome.
Our main aims are to:
(i) promote the Centre within the local community and to encourage all to join regardless of ability or age, and
(ii) maximise usage of the Centre through development of services and facilities.

Full guidance and support is provided to all volunteers.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 16

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
