Volunteer Driver

What is a Volunteer Driver?
As a Volunteer Driver with COVEY, you will play a key part in supporting a Child/Young Person’s journey by providing safe and reliable transport to and from group sessions. These sessions offer valuable support and opportunities for connection, learning, and fun.
Your role will involve:


  • Picking up Participant(s) from their home and driving them to the group session

  • Dropping off Participant(s) home after the group session

  • Being a friendly, dependable presence and ensuring a safe, comfortable journey
    This volunteer opportunity helps ensure that Participants can fully access the experiences and support COVEY provides. Your involvement can make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Experience required

Driving, Caring,Good Communicator,Patient,Reliable / Dependable,Sociable,Trustworthy,Empathetic, good listening skills

The opportunity takes place at multiple location across South Lanarkshire Yes
Across South Lanarkshire,Carluke,Douglas,East Kilbride,North Lanarkshire

Travel expenses

All reasonable expenses incurred in the course of your volunteering reimbursed.

  • Full driving licence with access to a car for volunteering use

  • Regular availability of 2-3 hours a week (weekdays only)

  • Two positive character references
