Museum Volunteer

CCM Volunteers are a friendly, committed team with a wide range of interests. No historic expertise is necessary, just enthusiasm! Each volunteer is given induction training and then further time to settle in to their particular role.
Roles for you to consider, include:
Front of House – Would you be good at smiling, greeting, chatting and informing our visitors at the museum? Can you help make a positive and memorable difference to visitors’ experience at the museum?
Front of House Administrator – Would you enjoy talking on the phone and keeping Front of House records at the museum? Do you want to develop your administrative skills in a small team?
Museum Services – Would you like to get involved in researching artefacts, planning and setting up exhibitions or educational outreach?
Marketing Volunteer – Join the Museum team to contribute to our marketing strategy. Would you like to help promote and market the museum by various means or become involved in social media?
Fundraising & Sponsorship – Would you like to be creative, inspirational and persistent in finding funds for the museum?
Membership Secretary – Volunteer for this role following the planned retirement of the current Secretary. Most communication with the Members is by email and involves keeping the Membership roll, distributing the AGM papers, and reminding Members of the Winter Talks programme of 5 meetings. All records will be up to date at the handover.
If the answer to the any of the above is YES, then you're our kind of volunteer! Come and join us.
