Asylum and Refugee Care (AARC) Volunteer Coordinator

Asylum and Refugee Care (“AARC”) was founded to support individuals seeking asylum and refugees in the Aberdeen area. Since our establishment, we have been committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for people facing the complex challenges of seeking safety and rebuilding their lives in a new country. Our services are focused on empowering vulnerable individuals by providing practical support, advocacy, and a sense of community.

As a volunteer-run organisation, we rely heavily on volunteers including peer volunteers (with lived experience). This builds a great sense of community amongst volunteers and allows volunteers to provide meaningful support to service users. However, this involves a lot of administration for AARC including: running volunteer open evenings, communicating important dates, checking ID documents for PVG applications, doing PVG applications, providing safeguarding training etc. If you're keen on admin and working with people, we would really appreciate your support to help coordinate the volunteering that happens within AARC.

Please email hi@aarc.charity or fill in the form at https://aarc.charity/volunteering-form if you're interested, and we can discuss next steps.
