We are looking for welcoming and compassionate volunteers to help create a warm, supportive and engaging environment for our members. Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring that everyone who attends feels valued, included and comfortable.
What you will do:
Depending on your interests and skills you may -
Support staff with group activities such as arts & crafts, games, music, or reminiscence
Help members if needed prepare teas & coffees etc
Spend time chatting with members and building positive relationships
Assist with tidying up activity spaces
Support staff during events or special activities including regular fundraising events
Help maintain a respectful, safe and dementia friendly environment

Experience required

No formal qualifications required. We are looking for volunteers who are:
Friendly, patient and empathetic
Good listeners with a positive attitude
Comfortable working as part of a team
Willing to learn about dementia and person centred support
