Social Media Volunteer

The Social Media Volunteer opportunity with LINKnet Mentoring Ltd offers a meaningful chance to support minority ethnic individuals across Edinburgh and the Lothians by strengthening the organisation’s online presence. Volunteers will help create and schedule engaging content on platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn, promoting mentoring programmes, events, and success stories. This role is ideal for someone interested in social media, digital communications, or marketing, and who is passionate about equality, inclusion, and community development. Full induction, ongoing support, and opportunities to develop valuable transferable skills are provided, with flexible hours of approximately five hours per week.

Experience required

An interest in social media, digital communications, or marketing is beneficial, along with basic familiarity with platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn. We are looking for volunteers who are creative, reliable, and well organised, with good communication skills and a willingness to learn. An interest in community work and supporting minority ethnic communities is important. Volunteers should be able to work independently while also collaborating with a small team and be open to receiving guidance and feedback.
