Assistant Coach

To support the delivery of the projects of Strathmore Community Rugby Trust
ensuring they adhere to the three pillars of Rugby (to instil the core values of
discipline, control and mutual respect) and focus on the development of participants
as individuals and athletes, Health (to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of
participants) and Community (to focus on the development of participants as athletes
and individuals)
Activities: The Trust currently delivers a number of projects aimed not only at increasing the
physical activity levels of our participants, but also the health and wellbeing of all our
participants, coaches and volunteers. The projects are:
• Autism-Friendly Rugby
• Rugby Academy
• Brechin High School Project
• Unified Rugby
• Youth Unified Rugby
• Walking Rugby
• Strathie Pups
• Sporting Memories
The projects aim to provide opportunities for the whole community to get involved in
the team sport of rugby, and welcome participants of all ages, genders and abilities.
The Trust works in partnership with a number of organisations.

Experience required

Experience of delivering sport to children and/or adults and working with vulnerable
groups would be desirable.

Training details

For the right candidate/s we would look to put you through SRU Level 1 Coaching
Rugby (union or league) qualification, first aid certificate and Introduction to Match
Officiating.
We would want to put you through both your Disability Inclusion training and Autism
Friendly Sport Training course.
