Furniture Plus provides affordable furniture to people in Fife through their Dysart and Dunfermline stores, supporting the community and the environment by reducing waste and encouraging reuse. They are looking for a Clothing Champion to organise donated clothes within their Dysart store. The main tasks include:
· Sorting donations
· Assisting with pricing and tagging donated items
· Reducing prices when appropriate
· Merchandising donated items
This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in clothes and fashion and helping the planet, while gaining experience of customer service and merchandising. Travel details
This opportunity takes place in Furniture Plus, 7 – 21 Alexander Street, Kirkcaldy. Furniture Plus is located near a main bus route and there is parking for those using their own transport.
Travel expenses
Travel expenses are paid at 10p per mile for walking, 24p per mile for a motorbike, 45p per mile for driving and full payment for bus tickets.
Support
Training details
They provide a full induction (Health & Safety). Each volunteer will be partnered up with a fully experienced member of staff to begin with, and there will always be a named contact on hand to provide support.
