Volunteer Outdoor Activity Leader for Young People (Ages 16-25)

About the Organisation
Helping young people grow stronger through the outdoors, wellbeing and connection.
Quarriers is one of Scotland’s leading social care charities, supporting children, young people, adults and families to overcome challenges and build brighter futures. Through a wide range of community-based services, Quarriers works alongside people to improve wellbeing, promote independence and reduce social isolation. Their volunteering programmes help create safe, supportive and inclusive spaces where individuals can build confidence, develop life skills and feel connected within their communities.
The Outdoor Activity Programme for young people aged 16–25 focuses on promoting positive mental and physical wellbeing through accessible outdoor and fitness-based activities. By combining nature, peer support and positive relationships, the programme aims to help young people build resilience, confidence and healthier routines in a welcoming environment.
Are you passionate about the great outdoors and dedicated to promoting health and well-being? Join us as a Volunteer Outdoor Activity Leader and make a positive impact on the lives of young people!
This volunteering opportunity offers the chance to support young people aged 16–25 through meaningful outdoor and wellbeing experiences that focus on confidence, resilience and positive mental health. Unlike traditional volunteering roles, volunteers become part of a supportive, activity-based programme that combines hill walking, fitness and wellbeing activities with relationship-building and mentoring. Volunteers are supported by experienced staff, encouraged to develop their own skills and play an active role in creating safe, motivating spaces where young people can thrive physically, mentally and socially.

About Us: We are a community-focused organization committed to empowering young individuals aged 16-25 through various outdoor activities that promote physical health, mental well-being, and a supportive community environment.
