Facilities & Maintenance Volunteer

Maintain facility records, to manage a safe, effective and successful Sea Cadet unit.

Experience required

Some experience in administration and practical life experience will help. Having the right attitude and a passion for improving the lives of young people are most important! Travel details

All of these roles can be carried out remotely or on a hybrid basis - you choose how often you wish to volunteer and for how long! Our committee meet once every two months.
Sea Cadets Leith is located in the Prince of Wales Dock, Leith, Edinburgh, EH6 7DX. Cadets meet weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6.45pm - 9.30pm. Please note that we are behind a gate, so you will need to be let in. There is plenty of parking through the gate. Our closest tram stop is Port of Leith. Please let us know if you would like to visit and have any access requirements.

Travel expenses

Travel expenses for training courses are paid for. We will pay for your Disclosure Scotland background check.

Training details

No experience is required! We provide online induction training, such as safeguarding and information management.
Requirements: All candidates will have an interview. If successful, all volunteers undergo a Disclosure Scotland check, which is paid for by us. You will then complete our online induction process and short online training courses.
