Volunteering Opportunities for Young People (under 18 years old)

Inchgarth Community Centre prides itself in offering young people volunteering opportunities where they can get experience while helping the community.
If you are under 18 and are looking to volunteer, this is the place for you!
We have different clubs you could volunteer with, or you could help at the café over the weekend to get some barista experience (only for people 16 and above).
-Monday, 4.45-6.15pm, GAMING CLUB
Our gaming club is open to kids aged 7 to 12 years old.
As a volunteer, you will help set up and tidy up the Club. During the club, you will be playing video and board games alike as well as pool, making sure the kids are having fun and letting the kids win sometimes.
-Monday, 7-9pm, PHOENIX CLUB
Our Phoenix Club is a social club for adults with additional needs.
As a volunteer, your role is to engage with our members while having fun! It can be:
-by playing pool or games,
-by serving teas and coffees to the members,
-by having wee chat with our members,
-by helping them at the arts and crafts group.
-Friday, 3.45-5.15, FRIDAY YOUTH CLUB
Our Youth Club is for kids from P1 to S1.
As a volunteer, your role is to engage with the kids while having fun! it can be:
-by playing pool or games,
-by helping with the activities we have on the day,
-by helping out with the arts and crafts group
All volunteers are greatly appreciated and our volunteer roles also provide excellent opportunities to undertake Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Saltire Awards.
We receive a lot of applications throughout the year and we have limited spaces. Therefore we encourage people to apply as soon as possible.
