Walking group volunteers

No matter how good our services are, we can't properly support our users/community well if we don't have good organisers in the team. If this sounds like you... we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per week.
Mentor Scotland is a peer to peer support group based in West Dunbartonshire. We have drop in sessions, male and female talking groups, cold water therapy, walk & talk group, and other activities. Our aim is to help end the stigma attached to mental health and provide a service to the community that supports wellbeing in all aspects of life. We value respect, care and we want to nurture those who attend our services to help them grow and thrive.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Are you passionate about keeping active? Do you enjoy walking and spending time outdoors?
Why not volunteer as a Walk Leader with our team?
We provide free Walk Leader training and are looking for people who are committed to helping others stay active, connected, and supported within their community.
This role is specifically for those interested in supporting our weekly walking group, with no expectation to volunteer within any of our other services. However, if you’d like to get involved in the wider range of sessions we offer, you’d be more than welcome.
Your support could help reduce isolation and improve wellbeing for others.
So whether you are looking to use your time well, update your skills or have the chance to do something a bit new, we can offer you a warm welcome and all of the support and help you could need.
We are seeing a rise in demand for our services everyday. Having your help will allow us to be there for the people who need us. Any time you can give will make a real difference.
