Creative Media Volunteer - (Photography & Video)

About Us 
Unity for Integration Project (UFIP) is a Glasgow-based charity dedicated to supporting and integrating diverse communities through workshops, training, and community events. Our work focuses on promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and opportunities for individuals from different cultural and social backgrounds.
This role plays a key part in helping us tell our story, showcase our impact, and highlight the voices of the communities we serve.
Role Responsibilities
As a Creative Media Volunteer, you will:
Capture photos and short videos during community events and workshops
Document key moments, activities, and interactions
Assist in creating content for social media (e.g. reels, short clips)
Work with the team to highlight impactful stories and experiences
Support basic organisation of media files after events
Training & Support
Basic training in photography and videography will be provided
Guidance on what to capture and how to frame content
Ongoing support from the UFIP team during events
Opportunity to develop skills in storytelling and content creation
 
Practical Details
Location: Unity Hub, Ground Floor, 159 Broad Street, Glasgow, G40 2QR
Time commitment: Flexible – mainly during events (including evenings/weekends)
Equipment: Equipment is provided.

•Basic ability to use a smartphone or camera to capture photos/videos
•Good attention to detail and creativity
•Willingness to learn and follow guidance
•Good communication and teamwork skills
•Reliability and punctuality
•Ability to engage respectfully with diverse communities

The Unity Hub is located at:
Ground Floor, 159 Broad Street, Glasgow, G40 2QR
• Easily accessible via public transport
• Close to local bus routes and train stations (e.g. Dalmarnock / Bridgeton area)
• Limited on-street parking available nearby.

Travel expenses

Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be covered to ensure that volunteering remains accessible to everyone. This includes:
Local travel costs (e.g. bus or train fares to and from the Unity Hub)
All expenses must be agreed in advance and supported by receipts in line with our internal procedures.
