Please provide a brief description of your charitable purposes
Twechar Community Action have been working hard to improve the lives of the residents of Twechar and
the surrounding area. Based at the Healthy Living and Enterprise Centre, we deliver many projects,
including our Acorns2Trees gardening project for neurodiverse people.
Describe the volunteering Opportunity
Wehave opportunities to volunteer for Neurodiverse people, to work with Mark, our gardener on a food
growing project in our poly tunnel and our garden. Volunteers can come for as long as they like to. If they
are working all day, we have a community cafe, where they are entitled to a soup and roll, or they could
buy something for themselves or bring their own packed lunch. We have all the equipment needed, but we
would like the volunteers to have steel toecap boots, as they will be working with tools.
Experience required
None, required, just a real interest in gardening.
Travel details
The garden is at out Healthy Living and Enterprise Centre in Twechar (G68 5TA) We can pick people up
